We're back from our amazing trip to New Zealand and Australia! More on that later...

I used GGH's "Bel Air" yarn. This yarn is super soft and is made in Italy from 90% Merino and 10% Nylon. The color selection is great, with some subtle shades and other brights. I used 3 balls, but you could probably get away with 2 if you made a shorter scarf. Check out the yarn here:
Essentially this scarf follows the Cartridge Rib pattern found in Vogue Knitting Stitchionary, but with Seed Stitch rows mixed in to make it reversible.
Using #10 needles, cast on 32 stitches.
Rows 1-5 ~ Seed Stitch (K1, P1 for border)
The rest of the scarf is as follows:
Row 1 ~ K3, *P1, K4* end K3
Row 2 ~ *P2, K3* end P2
Repeat for 10 rows.
Then:
3 Rows ~ Seed Stitch (K1, P1)
Repeat until desired length. Finish with 5 Rows of Seed Stitch and bind off.
I added fringe on mine, although it is optional. Enjoy!

What does the L3 stand for?
ReplyDeleteSO sorry... Good catch! It should have been K3. I've changed it in the pattern. Thanks!
